I have experienced this scenario. I myself have been a manager and have handled several people. Even with a lot of people ready to take on some of the responsibilities I have, I am hesitant to give it to them, with a fear that they would not be able to do as good a job as I do. Not that we do not trust their skills, but because we have our standards that we want followed. We fear disappointment. It took a while for me to get over this and I learned that teaching others helps get a load off my shoulders and at the same time, they grow into better professionals.

Kudos Yvonne! This a good article that highlights good principles that can be employed by all small business entrepreneurs; hard work, delegation, expansion strategies and outsourcing are important business tools that come out strongly in the article.
