Hi Yvonne

My biggest stress-buster is exercise. There is nothing like working out in a class full of energetic people who pull you along to release stress!

I used to say to a friend that my husband gets a better wife when I go to the gym on the way home from work :)

I wrote about this about 6 weeks ago here

I've found that the best way for me to beat stress is to exercise. I do an exercise DVD first thing in the morning and I feel soooo much better.

Deep breathing is another stress buster. Breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 6 counts (while imaging a golden light glowing from the inside out), and then blow it out for 8 counts (while imagining all those black stress particles being released from your body). It really works - honest!

And, of course, then there's chocolate...

I'd have to agree with Jaime... there's nothing more therapeutic than playing with children. Their giggling is so infectious and caredree that you have to laugh, and when you laugh it washes the stress away even if it's just for a little while. The other thing is Yoga... it helps me calm down so that I can rest at night and face the next day!!

Great post, Yvonne.

I fight back with a can of "Stress-B-Gone" from Canadian Tire.

All kidding aside, I am not good at managing it. I tend to cook a big meal to melt some of the stress away - I find new recipes therapeutic. I also like to just lay down on the floor and play with my girls. Playing with little kids reminds you that there was a time when you had nothing better to do than laugh and play.
